Blood cell counters and Viscosity measuring smearing device
An estimated 700 million Indians live in rural areas with poor medical facilities leading to deaths despite diseases that are curable and preventable. Around 30% of patients travel more than 30km to seek basic healthcare (gramvaani.com). Since CBC is the most basic test to assess a person’s health, we believe that a point-of-care device, which is convenient to use and costs a fraction of the existing devices, should make the basic blood test available even in the remotest corners of the country. Our current project aims to employ two different technologies to achieve this goal.
