Welcome to the College of Policing's information website. All the required information regarding the College of Policing will be displayed on this website in detail. There are different parts to the website, displayed at the top, to find all the necessary information about all the ranks.
The College of Policing is one of the most important divisions within the CMG: Police service, aiming to train and upskill brand new members joining the force as police community support officers. College of Policing members are also able to provide additional firearms trainings to individuals where necessary. The role of the College of Policing is to make sure that new recruits are given all the tools necessary to thrive within the CMG: Police service.
The benefits of CoP
The benefits of CoP
When joining CoP, you get some benefits that are weekly rewards for most completions, the 2nd most as well as the most ridealong hours and the 2nd most. When you are in CoP, you will have access to all the tickets, so you will be able to communicate with the PCSO/SO easier, meaning you will be able to get your 5-10 hours of ride along done to get a promotion within the CMG PS.

The purpose of CoP is to make sure all new members of the CMG: Police Service (PCSO's/ SO's) are trained so that they progress further in the CMG PS, and are able to utilize all necessary abilities from the PCSO training, into day-to-day policing. What to expect when joining CoP
What to expect when joining CoP
When joining CoP, you will be a TPE, where you will need to get a shadow for Interview, Basic training, and final exam (you have 2 weeks to get thoses done). After you have been shadowed, you will be able to get a promotion to PE. There are some rules that must be followed when doing things for CoP you can find them here Rules of CoP . Ridealong requirement
Ridealong requirement
You have to do one hour of ridealong a week. Here’s how it’ll go: if there are 7 or more tickets by Wednesday, then strikes will be handed out. On the other hand, if there are fewer than 7 tickets by Wednesday, then strikes won’t be handed out.

It is recommended to be in the COP outfit when doing an interview, basic training or final exam so people know to leave you alone. It is not mandatory to wear them during a ridealong, but you are allowed and encouraged to do so.
