College Heights Kindergarten is a non-denominational Christian School. The teachers and families come from many different evangelical denominations. All teaching is in accordance with the Scriptures as expressed in our Statement of Faith, (adapted from the Apostle’s Creed.)
We believe in one Creator God, eternal, and unchangeable. This one God exists in 3 distinct persons—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—equal in substance, power and glory. (Genesis 1:1, Matthew 28:19, John 1:1-3, John 10:30)
We believe that Jesus, being God, became man, taking the body of a man, was born of a virgin, was tempted just as we are yet without sin. He is the only Redeemer for God’s people by his atoning death and resurrection. He is now sitting at the right hand of God in Heaven and will come again in glory to judge the living and dead, and to bring His people into heaven with Him for all eternity.(John 3:16, John 1:14, John 14:6, Hebrews 9:26-28, I Corinthians 15:3-5, Luke 1:26-38)
We believe in the regenerating work of the Holy Spirit, to bring all of God’s people to repentance and salvation through faith that comes as a free gift of God. We believe in the continuing work of the Spirit to bring us into conformity with the Word of God given to us to enable us to live a godly life. (Ephesians 2:8-9, I Corinthians 12:13, I Corinthians 2:12)
We believe the Bible to be the only inspired, infallible, authoritative, inerrant Word of God. It is sufficient to direct all of our lives in all areas. (II Timothy 3:16, II Peter 1:21, Revelation 22:18-19)
We believe God created people, with two biological sexes: male and female. Biological sex means the biological condition of being male or female as determined at birth based on physical differences, or when necessary, at the chromosomal level. (Genesis 1, Genesis 2)
We believe that all people were created holy, but fell with Adam in his first transgression. We are now all sinners and in need of the saving work of Christ. (John 3:3, Romans 6:23, Romans 3:23)
We believe in the universal body of Christ--His church, of which all believers are members. (Ephesians 1:22--23, I Corinthians 12:20)
