Colinton village enterprise

Creating a vibrant community meeting place on the banks of the Water of Leith Walkway.

Colinton Village Enterprise was formed in 2019 by formally joining together two of Colinton's community organisations - Colinton Village Events (CVE) Group and Colinton Village Ventures (CVV). The Colinton Village Events Group all started with a small exhibition of artists' work on the stone wall opposite Spylaw House in 2005 and became a constituted community group in 2011. 

In 2016 Colinton Village Ventures was formed by local residents with the aim of providing the foundations that enable the development of a vibrant centre for interaction in Colinton. In 2019, these two community organisations merged to form the Colinton Village Enterprise, combining their strengths and shared vision to better serve the community's needs. 

We were granted Scottish Incorporated Charitable Organisation Status (SCIO) to operate with the common purpose of supporting the development of the Colinton community's rich heritage by promoting social, artistic, recreational and commercial engagement. Today, we continue to build on this rich history as we work toward establishing the Colinton Village Hub.
