Help us bring The Shed Project to life and create a lasting community hub for Colinton. Our vision for project is to:
* Transfer the building into community ownership (completed)
* Renovate, refurbish, and preserve this historic local building
* Deliver a multi-functional and welcoming drop-in space to provide a daily sense of community
* Provide a community meeting place for local organisations to utilise and work collaboratively
* Create a Café & community space for social interaction, cultural exchange, and creative activities

The total project cost is in the region of £1,000,000. We have secured approximately 75% of the funding needed for the project, due to a generous legacy gift from a local resident, a large award from the UK Shared Prosperity Fund, and a smaller award from the Scottish Landfill Communities Fund. Huge thanks also to our generous earlier supporters to date: the Scottish Land Fund, the Architectural Heritage Fund and the City of Edinburgh Council.
Planning permission was granted in September 2024, building warrants were approved in September 2025. We appointed the construction firm, Rollo Developments Ltd, and work began toward the end of October 2025. Groundworks have been completed and the build continues apace. But we need your help to fully realise our goals and the building's true potential.  Let’s finish the Colinton Village Hub together!
