Inside My Mind

An Art Exhibit

I started drawing as early as I can remember. My school papers were riddled with random doodles, cartoon characters, and sketches of people in my life. As my teachers began to call me out on it, I had to switch to an actual composition notebook, and it was at this moment that I fell in love with the ink and paper aesthetic. The countless notebooks filled with drawings are now used as coffee-table books and the digital pieces can be found below.

I take inspiration from contemporary artists, with my favorites being Keith Haring and Roy Lichtenstein because they capture my childhood essence while incorporating a deeper meaning into their works. If you have the chance, I recommend learning more about Keith Haring's 'Unfinished Painting' (1989), as it reflects his personal life that is not shown in mainstream media.

I took art once in seventh grade and got a B in the class so I like to think that I have improved a lot since then, but feel free to let me know what your thoughts are about my work.
