The Community Landscape Lab designs with people rather than designing for people.
We believe that:
Everyone designs. Whether it is in our choice of clothes or the decoration of our bedroom, we all create changes that make our immediate world more useful, meaningful, and pleasurable to us.
More participation does not necessarily mean watered-down design. A diversity of ideas, desires, and visions can make designs richer and more meaningful.
Professional designers can help communities combine their diverse visions into meaningful and useful landscapes.
