Concerning points, one should view the picture below detailing point allotment for grade level and the presentation linked below explaining the difference between Career Exploration points (CE) and Leadership points (LP).
Career Technical Exploration (CTE) points included volunteering, participating in Medical Careers pathway events, interacting with medical professionals, and much more. CTE points are divided into two categories: Career Exploration points (CE) and Leadership points (LP). Medical Careers pathway members must obtain 30 CTE points by the end of their senior year to be recognized during CTE Awards Night prior to graduating. Each grade level must obtain a different proportion of each CTE point category, which is detailed in the picture above.
Career Exploration points (CE) can be gained by completing any activity which is related to learning more about medical careers. Some examples on where such points are earned include attending MedPros Meetings, Mentor Nights, field trips, and internships.
Leadership points (LP) are obtained when acts of leadership are performed. Some examples include completing the Medical Careers courses, pathway volunteering, external medical-related volunteering, and holding a position in the pathway.
