Debugging Drop Tower

Code-ybot says, "You’re officially a Code Detective! Your job is to spot the bug in a Scratch project and fix it so the sprite works exactly the way it’s supposed to."

Step 1: The Buggy Code

Scenario:
You want your sprite to say “Hello!” when clicked, then move 10 steps forward.
But something’s not working right!

Buggy Scratch Code (in blocks):

when this sprite clicked
move 10 steps
say "Hello!" for 2 seconds

What happens:
The sprite moves first, then says “Hello!”—but you want it to say “Hello!” first, then move.

Step 2: Debugging Challenge

Your Tasks:

Spot the bug: What’s wrong with the order of the blocks?
Fix the code: Rearrange the blocks so the sprite says “Hello!” first, then moves 10 steps.
Test your fix: Try it out in Scratch. Does it work as intended?

Step 3: Bonus Challenge!

Change the message to “I love debugging!” and make the sprite move 20 steps.
Create your own buggy code (for example, a sprite that’s supposed to jump and then say “Boing!” but does it in the wrong order). Challenge a friend to fix it!
