Reunification Counselling

Relationships are hard at the best of times let alone if they have experienced tumultuous events or being subjected to alienation. The primary goal of reunification therapy is to restore or re-establish a broken relationship. Most often this relationship is between a parent and child (regardless of the child being an adult themselves).

Reunification counselling promotes communication between both parties and seeks to mend any rifts that may have formed as well as exploring forward focused boundaries to promote a new, healthy relationship for enduring growth.

Often reunification counselling is done after a divorce in which there has been significant conflict or parental alienation. It may be mandated if there have been major conflicts between a parent and a child as a result of the divorce or other legal processes.
