Elementary Experiences

Barnes & Noble STEM Reading Day

Each year Pinecrest Academy teams up with Barnes & Noble for a family day. Families are given a discount for book purchases to increase literacy awareness. Additionally, STEM activities are set up in the children's section to promote hands-on connections to reading.

Field Trips

Each year students are taken on a variety of field trips which include hands-on connections to STEM in the real world. Some examples of field trips include:

Local Dairies and Orchards
Discovery Museum
Springs Preserve
Hoover Dam
Valley of Fire
Zion National Park
and more....

Secondary Experiences

College Tours

Students are invited to experience a fully sponsored college tour. This allows all students to have access to touring opportunities for their learning at the next level. Students in 9th grade attend this trip in order to jumpstart their high school experience and get students thinking about the long term connections of their academic choices.

CyberPatriot Club

CyberPatriot is an after school program to provide extended opportunities to all students to join in the National Competition.

Aviation Club

Aviation Club is an after school program which allows for all students to access the exploration into the aviation programs and hands-on simulators.

Field Trips

Secondary field trips branch out to focus more on the various programs students are entering. Field trip opportunities include:

Air Force Base
Catalina Island
San Diego Zoo
Boston
New York
California
and more....
