Prof. Saulius Juodkazis Professor of Nanophotonics at the Optical Sciences Centre at Swinburne University of Technology, Melbourne (Australia)

Prof. Juodkazis is Director of the multi-user nanotechnology facility Nanolab at Swinburne. His current research is focused on applying principles of light-field enhancement and its spectral control for applications in micro-optics, metamaterials, polariscopy, sensing, and solar energy conversion. Prof. Juodkazis expertise in sensing will be combined with Porf. Bhattacharya’s expertise on design and fabrication of devices on fibre tip for a variety of applications.

Prof. Sumeet Mahajan, Professor in Molecular Biophotonics & Imaging with a joint appointment in the School of Chemistry Institute for Life Sciences at the University of Southampton (UK)

Prof. Mahajan heads the Chemical Biology research division in Chemistry. His inter-disciplinary approach at the interface of physical sciences & engineering with biology & medicine will contribute primarily on the microendoscopy project and students from IITM will spend time in his lab.
