Dr. Tarun Chandra Bora is currently the Vice Chancellor of Krishnaguru Adhyatmik Visvavidyalaya, Nasatra- 781307, Barpeta, Assam. Prior to this, he has been the Chief Scientist & Professor of the Biotechnology Division, CSIR-NEIST, Jorhat, Assam, India. His research interest involves exploring microbial diversity in Northeast India's gene pool for new enzymes and drug intermediates, antibiotics and anti-cancer molecules. Introducing novel bacterial species into world Microbial Taxonomy, establishment of microbial database, etc.
He has received numerous awards including Louis Pasteur Award (2004), by the Association of Microbiologists of India for the best significant contributions in the field of Microbiology, Dr. R.S. Rana Memorial Award (1999) by the Association of Microbiologists of India (AMI), Dr. B. M. Das Memorial Science Award in Biological Sciences (1995-1999), by Dr. B.M Das Memorial Science Award Committee, Guwahati, Assam and Siksha Ratna award by Akhil Bharat Hindu Mahasabha, Assam Pradesh, Guwahati. He has completed over 18 R&D projects, published 90+ publications, and has 8 patents.

Dr. Kartik Neog is the Director of Muga Eri Silkworm Seed Organization, Central Silk Board, Ministry of Textiles, GoI. Prior to this, he was working as Scientist D, Central Silk Board RSRS, Rowriah, Jorhat, Assam. He has been awarded numerous accolades including “Promising Scientist” 2006-07 and “Promising Budding Scientist” 2007-08 CMER&TI, Lahdoigarh, Jorhat; “Best Scientist- Vanya” under R&D Sector 2015-16 Central Silk Board, Ministry of Textiles, GoI. He also has a patent on an Artificial / Semi synthetic diet for Muga silkworm, entitled, "A Semi-synthetic diet for muga silkworm, Antheraea assamensis, Westwood (Lepidoptera: Saturniidae) for its early stage rearing".
He has numerous scientific articles published in numerous reputed journals based on his area of research. He has attended numerous training sessions related to his field of specialization in India and abroad. His extensive expertise has lead to the development of several technologies, varieties, products, concepts, methodologies. Few of these interventions are a plant extract formulation (Muga Heal) effective against Flacherie disease of muga silkworm was developed in association with the Biotechnology Division of North East Institute of Science & Technology, (NEIST), Jorhat; Integrated nutrition management package (Biofertilizer consortium) for castor plant; Standardized the culture media for micro-propagation of muga host plant Som (Persea bombycina) with 35-50% sprouting etc.
Mr. Manoj Gogoi is an Indian wildlife conservationist and wildlife rehabilitationist based in Kaziranga, Assam. He has rescued over 5000 animals in Kaziranga National Park, during annual floods in Assam.
Mr. Gogoi has very humble beginnings, starting his career as a gypsy driver-cum-tourist guide ferrying tourists inside the Kaziranga National Park. Following an unexpected encounter with Kedar Gore, the director of Corbett Foundation, he made the decision to fully commit himself to the cause of environmentalism. Since then, he has dedicated his life to rescuing several animals in and around Kaziranga, even raising numerous abandoned or orphaned birds and small mammals on numerous occasions.
Mr. Gogoi is also the Founder and president of “Naturalist for Rehabilitation of Snakes and Birds (NRSB)”, a conservation NGO with more than 90 active members. In addition to their works in wildlife rescue, NRSB conducts numerous awareness activities to sensitize people about the need of wildlife and biodiversity conservation. Mr. Gogoi has also trained local youths in Nature guiding, and has attended numerous national seminars and workshops.
Mr. Gogoi is a recipient of the India Star Passion Award 2019 under category of Social Service (Environment). He is the subject of the nature documentary "The Man Who ‘Speaks’ Nature", directed by Dhritiman Kakati & Raktim Hazarika.

Mr. Arun Mitra is an entrepreneur who has extensive knowledge in beekeeping. Mr. Mitra is a resident of Khetri, Assam, where he runs the Mitra Honey Bee Apiary. He is also a crop cultivator and horticulturist and has undergone training of bee-keeping at SBEC, Guwahati and CBRTI, Pune.
Having set-up his first beehive when in sixth grade, Mr. Mitra used the proceeds from the sale of honey to gradually expand his number of colonies and to support for his education. He started his career working under an NGO for 10 to 15 years. While doing so, he came across KVIC's Prime Minister's Employment Generation Programme scheme from State Office, Guwahati which became his calling for pursuing his childhood passion as a full-fledged career. He attended a couple more advanced courses in Kolkata and Pune and soon became adept enough to train others. Besides bee keeping, Mr. Mitra also manufactures and supplies all bee-keeping equipments, all of which are manufactured in his "home-factory". Bee-boxes, smokers, queen excluders, bee catcher boxes, bee-veils, honey extractors are all manufactured by him.
Mr. Mitra continues to be passionately engaged in his chosen profession. He is now recognized as a trainer of repute and is a visiting faculty with the Indian Institute of Entrepreneurship (IIE). The institute regularly engages him as an instructor in its various apiculture programmes and courses. Mr. Mitra has trained nearly two thousand students from Assam and other Northeastern states like Nagaland, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur and Sikkim.

Dr. Dipjyoti Rajkhowa has an extensive professional background, holding various positions throughout his career in the field of agriculture. He has accumulated 32 years of experience in teaching, research, extension, and administration.
During his tenure, he held many key positions, including Principal Scientist and Professor at AAU, Jorhat, and Principal Scientist & Head of divisions at the ICAR Research Complex for NEH Region. He later joined ICAR, Nagaland Centre as the Joint Director. Dr. Rajkhowa played a crucial role in developing and promoting integrated weed management practices and vermicompost production techniques using native earthworm species. He also pioneered conservation agriculture practices for rice and maize-based cropping systems in hill ecosystems and contributed to rainwater harvesting, micro-irrigation, organic farming, and integrated farming systems models for small and marginal farmers. Additionally, he actively worked on climate-resilient agricultural technologies.
As an accomplished author, Dr. Rajkhowa has received several honors and recognitions for his outstanding contributions, such as the ISA Gold Medal, fellowships of prestigious agronomy and weed science societies, and the Distinguished Scientist Award.
Dr. Rajkhowa is actively involved in the research community as a member of research advisory councils, university court and executive councils, and as an editor, reviewer, and councilor for professional societies. He has organized numerous national and international seminars and symposiums, demonstrating his dedication to advancing agricultural knowledge and practices.

Mr. Roshan Upadhaya is an employee at the Miao police department of Changlang district, Arunachal Pradesh. He is is popularly known as the "Butterfly Man of Arunachal Pradesh" and has documented several species of butterfly previously unknown in India. He also educates people about nature and conservation. His passion for butterflies has led him to achieve numerous records and accolades.
Mr. Upadhaya joined the police force as a constable while pursuing his graduation in 2012. Despite his government job, he continued his studies, enrolling for a Bachelor in Commerce degree from the Jawaharlal Nehru College, Pasighat, the oldest college in the state of Arunachal Pradesh.
In 2019, Mr. Upadhaya received the India Book of Records for lifting the highest number of butterflies on his body. The following year, he achieved the Asia Book of Records. Additionally, he was bestowed an Honorary Doctorate from the World Record University. His photography skills were also recognized when he won a competition organized by WWF India in 2019. Furthermore, he received a class-1 commendation certificate from the Director General of Police of Arunachal Pradesh for his outstanding duty. In 2023, Mr. Upadhaya was awarded the North East Achiever Award in the Environment category at the Dalmia Group Young Achievers Awards.
Mr. Upadhaya is not only passionate about butterflies but also dedicated to martial arts. He shares his knowledge and teaches karate to underpriviledged children, frequently visiting colleges and coaching centers, while also providing study sessions at his home.

Mr. Jon Jyoti Kalita is a research scholar in the Department of Biosciences & Bioengineering, Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati.
His doctoral research primarily focuses on developing DNA aptamers targeting Celiac disease epitopes found in the glutenin subunit of gluten protein. He has actively participated in international conferences, including BIODIVERSE 2018 held at IIT Guwahati and ICAN-2017 held at Assam Don Bosco University, Guwahati, where he presented his research. Prior to completing his thesis, he authored and collaborated on several peer-reviewed article and a book chapter directly related to his research. Furthermore, he served as a teaching assistant for the online course "Genome Editing and Engineering," taught by Prof. Utpal Bora, as part of the National Programme on Technology Enhanced Learning (NPTEL), supported by the Ministry of Education, Go, from July to October 2022.
