A Texas TDI Fenestration Product Evaluation is a program conducted by the Texas Department of Insurance (TDI) to evaluate and approve fenestration products, such as windows and doors, sold in the state of Texas. The program ensures that fenestration products meet the standards established by the TDI for structural integrity, water penetration resistance, and energy efficiency.

To participate in the TDI Fenestration Product Evaluation program, manufacturers must submit samples of their products to TDI-approved testing laboratories for evaluation. The testing laboratories will conduct tests to determine if the fenestration products meet the applicable standards, and submit their test reports to TDI for review.

If the fenestration products meet the standards, TDI will issue a Product Evaluation Report (PER) and a certification label to the manufacturer. The PER can be used to demonstrate compliance with state building codes and regulations.
