Several states in the US have their own building codes, which are published and enforced by state agencies or departments. Some of the states published their own building codes which govern the design and construction of buildings in their state.
The California Building Standards Code, also known as Title 24; The Florida Building Code; The New York State Uniform Fire Prevention and Building Code; The Texas Accessibility Standards and the Texas Building Codes; The Massachusetts State Building Code; The Illinois State Building Code, Illinois Energy Conservation Code, and the Illinois State Plumbing Code; The Pennsylvania Uniform Construction Code; The North Carolina State Building Code
Some states have specific county codes that cater to their unique locality such as Arizona, California, Colorado, Illinois, Maryland, Missouri, New York, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Texas & Washington.
It's important to note that while some states have their own building codes, many also adopt and enforce model codes published by organizations such as the International Code Council (ICC).
