Quest Management UI/UX
Brief
Code-quests is a platform that helps business publish projects (called Quests) and ask a community of developers and designers to compete to build the best, highest quality implementation or design.
Given that multiple talented designers or developers work on the same project, the expected variations, out of the box thinking, and unique perspectives shine through the implementation. Something that is not achievable in traditional software projects.
Another important factor is the speed of development, the time bounded nature of quests, ensures that the project owner gets the project done faster, also competitors are engaged with the project to finish it in time.
Each Quest has 4 phases:
Published / Open: The quest is just published by the project manager on the platform, it is visible in the quests list page. Possible competitors read and learn about the quest. In this phase, you are asked to "Register" to show your commitment to work on this project. (think Join the quest).
In Progress: Competitors have registered and are working to finish the project and can submit any time. No more registrations are accepted in this phase. In this phase, You are asked to "Submit" your work.
Note that judges might review the submissions and reject them during this phase, but a winner will never be announced. In Review: Submission deadline passed. Competitors have submitted, no more submissions are being accepted. Reviewers/Judges are checking the quality of the submissions and selecting a winner. usually this is 2 days max.
Completed: The winners were announced and the quest were completed successfully. Note that due to no registration or no submissions or low quality submissions, the quest might fail, but will be closed due to low-engagement.
Quest Goal
In this quest, the goal is to build a high-fidelity UI/UX design that covers important parts of this platform.
Actors
Project Manager: A Senior who is interested in building this project by the community, he writes the requirements for the project, and answers questions about the project, and also helps review the submissions after the project is completed.
Possible Competitor: A developer or designer reading about the quest and trying to consider to register or not. he should consider the skills needed (technology or tools), difficulty (experience level), time limitations and deadline.
Competitor: A developer or designer who registered in the quest, indicating his interest in working on this project and submitting before the deadline.

The design should help users complete these scenarios:
Help developers and designers discover quests that suit their skills and time.
Hints: in Quest List page: listing, and sorting and information visible in each questSurface the Time restrictions and deadlines in a clear way in Quest list and Quest details, in a gamified style. The visual style should help generate urgency and excite competitors to finish faster before others.

Help Competitors to understand what this site does and how quests work in general. maybe using illustrations.
Help reminder registrants/competitors about the registration deadline and submission deadline.
On each page, make sure every actor knows what is the next step for this quest and, when they should complete it.
