Gabriel M. Sanchez is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Anthropology and Native American and Indigenous Studies at the University of Oregon. He is the director of the Coastal Archaeology, Proteomics, and Zooarchaeology laboratories. He also directs the Collaborative Archaeology Field School in collaboration with the Amah Mutsun Tribal Band and Land Trust. Gabriel’s research interests include collaborative archaeology, community-based participatory research, geophysics, historical ecology, proteomics, and zooarchaeology. Currently, he is involved in collaborative research projects in central and northern California, coastal Oregon, and the Great Basin.

Rose Mooney is a first year graduate student in the Anthropology PhD program. Her research interests include collaborative research, community-based participatory research, geophysics, and environmental archaeology. 

Lena Amodei is a fourth-year undergraduate studying Multidisciplinary Science with concentrations in Anthropology and Earth Science. Her research interests include comparative anatomy, phylogenetics, and zooarchaeological analysis.  

Mercy Schmidt is a third-year senior studying Multidisciplinary Science with a concentration in Bioanthropology and a minor in Earth Science. As a curatorial assistant, she has comprehensive knowledge of vertebrate anatomy and expertise in taxonomic classification across Animalia. She also maintains a master database and directs executive curatorial decisions. Her research interests include zooarchaeological and paleontological curation and fieldwork, evolutionary biology, and comparative anatomy.

Maddie Spanks is a fourth-year undergraduate studying Anthropology and Geography. Her research interests include collaborative research methods, zooarchaeological analysis, and geophysical methodologies for investigating human-environmental relationships in coastal landscapes. 

Zoë Whitcomb is a third-year undergraduate student in the Anthropology program. Her research interests include collaborative archaeology, community-based participatory research, environmental archaeology, and paleoethnobotanical analysis.
