Short description: This course offers an introduction to a field of active ongoing research: strongly correlated quantum many-body systems. The lecture includes an introduction to theoretical techniques for treating systems with strong correlations, and highlights intriguing examples of condensed matter systems in which more is different than the sum of its parts. Topics include:
Fractional Quantum Hall effect, Non-Fermi liquids, Quantum Magnetism, Kondo effect
