CMANTIC Robotics Lab
CMANTIC Robotics Lab is located in the Computer Science Department at the University of Nebraska, Omaha. The lab was established in 2004 and does research in the areas of mobile robotic systems and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), multi-robot systems, modular robots and swarm robotics, artificial intelligence-based decision making and machine learning, and game theory.
The lab hosts state-of-the-art robotics research facilities including indoor and all-terrain ground robots (Turtlebot 1 and 2, Corobot Coroware & Explorer, e-puck) UAVs (Asctec Pelican, Parrot AR Drone 2 and Bebop), VICON motion capture system for indoor positioning and localization, 3-D printer, and several licences of Webots robot software simulator.
The lab has ongoing projects in the areas of multi-robot (ground and aerial) systems for structural inspection, intelligent transportation management, and agricultural applications; rehabilitation robotics with modular robots; and, autonomous navigation and exploration. Lab members are also active in robotics STEM outreach workshops and summer camps for middle and high school students.
