Procedures of Teaching
I began assisting in the second week and started teaching in the third. On Tuesday of that week, I introduced the topic of forces, starting with "Liquid Force." Teaching the M 2/2 class was smooth, as they quickly grasped the concept. Their active participation and attentiveness made the lesson engaging and interactive.Â
Final Demonstration
For my lesson implementation, I was allotted 100 minutes, which I organized using the 7E learning model. I began with a 5-minute review of students' prior knowledge, followed by a 5-minute vignette to introduce the inquiry topic. Next, students engaged in a simulation-based experiment with a data table to test their hypotheses. Originally set for 15 minutes, this activity was extended by 10 minutes to allow deeper exploration. A 5-minute discussion phase helped connect their findings to the lesson, followed by a 15-minute elaboration where they applied their understanding to real-world scenarios. Assessment included a 5-minute summative evaluation, extended by another 5 minutes, and a take-home task.
To maintain efficiency, I embedded a timer in my PowerPoint while remaining flexible for student engagement. Though the process was challenging, it was ultimately a fulfilling and successful experience.
