Oregon still ranks in the top five states in the U.S. with the highest numbers of unaccompanied homeless youth.
Over 8,000 YOUTH in OREGON are in need of safe housing.

EMO's top legislative priorities are:
"HB 2454 and 2456 Youth Experiencing Homelessness Bill: Provides more funding for host homes and other services for youth experiencing homelessness; also provides emergency housing funds for school-aged youth and families.

Partnering with Sunset High School's political advocacy class and together attended the visitor comment period during multiple Beaverton City Council sessions to discuss car camping by those experiencing homelessness and without other options. Club Hope is grateful for the City's step towards tackling homelessness with the Safe Parking Program. We also truly appreciate their support of Second Home. However, hundreds of students are still homelessness - many unsheltered in the City of Beaverton. We continue to advocate for, and look forward to, working with the City of Beaverton and Washington County on opening a shelter for youth, and for families!
