Welcome to Cloud 9 Aerial Dance. Our aerial classes are designed for all levels—from complete beginners to continuing students—offering a structured environment to safely explore aerial movement and develop strength, coordination, and confidence in the air.
Whether you’re brand new or looking to build on existing skills, we have a class to support your goals.
We train on a variety of aerial apparatus, including:
Aerial Silks (also known as Aerial Tissu)
Aerial Hammock (also known as Sling)
Dance Trapeze (also known as Static Trapeze)
Lyra (also known as Aerial Hoop)
Aerial Net
Spansets (also known as Aerial Loops)
Each apparatus offers a unique style of movement, strength building, and creativity in the air.
Our Intro to Aerial Dance classes are designed specifically for complete beginners. No prior experience is required.
Students learn foundational techniques through guided instruction, conditioning, and progressive skill-building. This is the perfect place to begin your aerial training.
As students continue training, classes build on foundational skills with increased complexity, strength development, and technique refinement. Progression is based on consistency, skill readiness, and individual pacing.
Our progressive training pathway includes:
Intro to Aerial Dance – Foundations across Silks, Hammock, Trapeze, and Lyra
Continuing Intro (Apparatus-Specific) – Focused foundational training on a chosen apparatus
Level 1 (Apparatus-Specific) – Expanded skill development and technique building
Level 2 (Apparatus-Specific) – More complex sequences, strength, and technical refinement
To join a class, email us at CloudNineAerialDance@gmail.com and include the student's name, age, aerial or movement experience, and class of interest. We’ll recommend the best class placement. We respond within 24–48 hours.
