SURF 2022 Program
I had the opportunity to mentor 23 undergraduate students and guide them through the Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship (SURF) Program at Purdue. It was a great team to work with and I enjoyed particularly getting to know my mentees and guest speakers we invited for our professional development seminars, panel discussions, and research lab tours! I also had a chance to present in front of all the SURF students (~200) in our SURF cohort about how to conduct a literature review for their own research.

Data Collection @ IU Health Hospital
My first semester of my Master's involved lots of trips to IU Health Hospital near Indianapolis, IN. This is my first human factors research project, for which I assisted in collecting audio, video, and position data from surgical team members to assess the layout and workflow in the operating rooms for robotic-assisted surgeries. It was very cool to shadow surgeries and I got to learn some equipment that goes with operating surgery!

NYC Finance Career Trek
I went with 16 other business students sponsored by the Krannert Professional Development Center to visit the big finance firms in NYC. We made company site visits to Credit Suisse, HSBC, EY, and the Federal Reserve, and we also had a tour on Wall Street. It was a wonderful opportunity to learn about these top companies and meet a few Purdue Krannert alumni from each company. They gave us a better understanding of what finance careers look like in banking and consulting firms π

PwC's Challenge Case Competition
My teammates and I won 1st place on our first try at the PwC's case competition! We evaluated possible marketing strategies to deal with the current dilemma of a video game brand, applied data visualization to illustrate our analysis, and provided our recommendations for implementing strategies. Our judges especially appreciated the visual analysis part of our presentation, and that distinguished us from other competing teams. I'm very proud of usπ
