Two Clinton Co. Soldiers Missing

FRANKFORT, Jan. 26.- Two Frankfort soldiers are reported missing in action and a third one slightly wounded, all on the western front in Europe. 

Pfc. Robert E. Miller is reported missing for the second time in less than two months. His parents, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Miller, 308 South O'Neill street, have been advised that he has been missing since Jan. 9. A similar message was received Dec. 6, but three days later word came that he had rejoined his unit. In a letter received here Jan. 1, it was indicated that Miller was with the 7th army, and has seen action north of Strasbourg combatting the southern fringe of Von Rundstedt's push through.

Pvt. John C. Martin, Jr. has been missing in action since Jan. 3, in France, his parents, Mr. and Mrs. John C. Martin, 552 East South street, have been informed. He was sent overseas last November.

Pvt. Guy L. Reed was slightly wounded in action Jan. 8 in Belgium, according to word received by his wife, Mrs. Hazel Reed, 1158 South Second street. He is a son of Thomas Reed, 558 West Boone street, and has been overseas since December.

Sixteen Indiana men were listed by the war department as Killed in Action, wounded and Missing in Action yesterday. Included in the list as missing in action was Pfc. Lester W. Bauer, son of Mrs. Besse E. Bauer of Frankfort.
