약학과 5학년 유혜인, 허유정 학생은 본 연구실 에서 ECMO 유형에 따른 사망율과 합병증 발병에 대한 체계적 문헌 고찰과 메타분석을 진행하였다. 본 연구는 연구심화실습을주제로 진행되었으며, 연구 결과를 ASIAO (IF = 3.1, Q2)에 게재하였다.

약학과 6학년 김유진 씨가 10월 21일(월) 개최된 <대한약학회 추계학술대회>의 2024 우수 학부연구성과 시상식에서 ‘최우수상’을 수상했다.

김유진 씨는 공동 제1저자로 참여하여 지난 8월 SCI급 국제전문학술지 <Pharmaceuticals>에 게재한 논문 「Optimizing Outcomes: Bevacizumab with Carboplatin and Paclitaxel in 5110 Ovarian Cancer Patients—A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis」을 주제로 발표해 최우수상을 수상했다. <Pharmaceuticals>는 MDPI(Multidisciplinary Digital Publishing Institute)가 매월 온라인으로 발행하는 의약 화학 및 관련 약물 과학 분야 오픈 액세스 과학 학술지다.

본 연구에서는 난소암 치료에서 Carboplatin과 Paclitaxel 병용요법에 Bevacizumab을 추가했을 때의 효과와 안전성을 평가하기 위해 체계적 문헌 고찰 및 메타분석을 진행했으며, 이를 통해 임상 결정 시 고려할 점을 제안하고자 했다.

연구 결과, Bevacizumab을 포함한 병용요법은 포함하지 않은 요법에 비해 무진행생존(progression-free survival)을 개선하지만, 고혈압 및 비-중추신경계 출혈, 혈전 색전증, 위장관 천공, 통증, 단백뇨와 같은 이상사례 발생률을 높이는 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 연구팀은 이에 대해 적절한 임상적 치료약물을 추천하며 정밀한 모니터링이 필요함을 논의하였다. 이번 연구는 기존에 명확히 연구되지 않은 심부전, 빈혈, 상처 합병증, 피부 질환을 포함해 16가지의 이상사례를 분석하고, 포괄적 분석 및 상세 분석을 위한 분류 기법을 사용하였다는 점에 의의가 있다.

약학대학 이정연 교수가 미국약학대학협의회(American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy, 이하 AACP) 국제학술대회 <2024 AACP Annual Meeting>에서 글로벌교육특별위원회가 선정하는 ‘국제교육혁신상(New Outstanding Program Award)’을 수상했다.

AACP는 세계 60여 개국에서 교수·전문약사·대학원생 등이 참석하는 임상약학 분야 세계 최대의 학회로, 매년 약학 교육과 변화하는 의료 환경이 직면한 중요한 이슈를 논의하고자 본 행사를 개최하고 있다.

이정연 교수는 우리나라의 보건의료 역사상 최초로 미국약사회(American Pharmacists Association, 이하 APhA)와 공조하여 약사에 의한 감염병 대응을 위한 ‘예방접종교육 인증프로그램’을 실시하는 등 그간의 노력과 업적을 인정받아 본 상을 수상했다. 이번 교육혁신상의 공동수상자는 방준석 교수(숙대약대), Hoai-an Truong 교수(메릴랜드대학 이스턴쇼어), Barry Bleidt 교수(A&M 대학), See-Won Seo (FDA) 등이다.

코로나 팬데믹 상황 속에도 이 교수는 해외 초청 비대면 특강을 통하여 글로벌 약사 커뮤니티의 공동체적 참여 현황을 꾸준히 알리고, 위기 극복을 위한 교육혁신 사업을 추진하고자 노력해 왔다. 또한 팬데믹과 같은 위기 상황이 재현되더라도 이를 수월히 극복할 수 있는 역량을 확보하고자, 대한약국학회 및 본교 약학연구소의 지원을 받아 AphA 인증 교육프로그램을 시행하였으며, 2024년 8월 세계약사연맹(International Pharmaceutical Federation, 이하 FIP) 국제학술대회에서 시행 결과를 발표한 바 있다. 이 교수는 “우리나라의 약대 교수 및 교육자 중심으로 국제 수준의 교육프로그램을 시행하여 팬데믹과 같은 위기상황에 보다 신속히 대응할 수 있도록 하고, 우리나라 보건의료의 질적 향상을 위해 지속적으로 노력하겠다”고 밝혔다.

On April 14th Friday, College of Pharmacy professor Rhie Jeong Yeon received the commendation of the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism at the ‘Play True Day’ commemoration event that the Korea Anti-Doping Agency(KADA) opened.

KADA is opening ‘Play True Day’ commemoration events in order to spread the importance of anti-doping and sports values. This year’s event took place in Muan of Jeollanam-do Province, which is the host city for the 2023 National Sports Festival and Disabled Sports Festival.

Professor Rhie Jeong Yeon managed the 2018 Pyeongchang Olympics & Paralympics training center’s pharmacy and contributed to supervising prohibited drugs and preventing unintended violation of anti-doping rules. By working as the vice-chairperson of KADA’s investigation committee, she also helped in making a fair sports environment by providing pharmacy-related consultation to information activities. Also, she got credited for her contribution to the anti-doping reinforcement of health-and-medical specialized job groups through participating in the anti-doping education contents production for health-and-medical occupants. Because of this, she was chosen for the ‘2023 minister commendation for merit in the development of sports anti-doping(commendation of the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism).’

Professor Rhie Jeong Yeon is the only specialist in the country who has been certified by the IOC’s sports drug education program. She is currently doing research in the infectious disease and sports drug area for the optimization of the clinical adaptation of medicines, and has received a commendation for her contribution in the development of the anti-doping area.
