Our research goal is to improve patients' cures and care by optimizing drug use. 

We are developing pharmaceutical care models for various patient populations using machine learning-based prediction techniques. Clinical outcomes positively affect medication efficacy and safety have been analyzed using patient and public healthcare information. Recently, we expanded our interests to population-level estimation and patient-level prediction with the common data model (CDM) and clinical data warehouse (CDW) of the institutions. In addition, we investigated drug use in sport pharmacy, highlighting the anti-doping awareness and the prohibited medication list in athletes. 

(이화여자대학교 약학대학 임상약학연구실은 환자의 약물치료의 최적화를 통한 환자의 질병 치료와 케어의 향상을 목적으로 다양한 질환과 환자군을 대상으로 약료모델을 개발하고 있다.  

약료모델을 개발하는 것은 환자의 질환을 치료하기 위하여 의약학의 전문적 지식과 최신 견해를 근거로 하여 수많은 결정 활동이 이루어지는 총괄적인 활동이다. 질병에 대한 지식, 환자 특성 파악, 약물의 선택과 투약, 모니터링, 예후관리 등의 집학적인 활동은 인간의 종합적 사고력과 확률적인 최선의 결정을 동반한다. 최신 의약기술의 발달에 머신러닝기술의 도입은 이러한 일련의 과정을 보완하여 질병 치료의 완성도를 높이고, 예측하지 못한 부정적 결과를 방지하고자 하는 노력의 일부이다. 본 연구실은 모신러닝 기법을 활용함에 그 성능을 향상하기 위하여 체계회된 의무기록(예: 공통데이타모델(CDM),  분석용의료기관데이타(CDW))을 이용한 population-level 비교연구, patient-level 예측연구의 결과를 발표하고 있음. 또한, 약료의 새로운 분야인 스포츠 약료 연구를 한국도핑방지위원회(KADA) 및 세계도핑방지위원회(WADA)와 연구진과 다양한 활동을 진행중임. 또한 본 연구실은 대학중점연구소지원사업단 참여 연구실로 뇌융합연구에 협조하고 있음.)
