There IS a cost for the testing process, and it may not be covered through insurance coverage.
If you have a history of a positive skin-test, you won't ever need to have a SKIN TEST again. You will need to have a Chest X-Ray, and submit the interpretation report, along with an Annual TB Health questionnaire completed by your provider. Chest x-ray evidence is good for three years, but you still have to submit the Annual TB health questionnaire paperwork every 12-months to be current.
Possibly. It is up to the individual agency to set the standard for acceptable candidates. Most important is that you be honest, and not withhold any information from the background check. Honesty is the best policy.
Yes. Students pay for registration costs, and the costs for a background check, drug screening (through CastleBranch or Complio) and TB testing. In addition, there may be costs of testing and possible vaccinations.
