About CLiCK Outreach
As climate change continues to disproportionately impact the African continent, there is a critical need for young Africans to be equipped with the knowledge and skills to combat these challenges and lead their communities toward a sustainable future.
CLiCK Outreach is an ambitious initiative aimed at addressing the urgent need for climate literacy and the promotion of sustainable careers among Africa's youths by educating students in secondary schools especially about the vast, untapped career opportunities within climate and sustainability fields.
The goal of CLiCK Outreach is to empower 1,000,000+ students by 2030 with climate literacy and sustainable career knowledge to inspire a generation of future sustainability professionals addressing climate challenges in Africa.
The objectives of the outreach are:
1. Increase Climate Literacy: To enhance the climate literacy of young Africans, ensuring they understand the causes, impacts, and solutions to climate change, with a focus on local and global contexts.
2. Promote Sustainable Career Awareness: To raise awareness among students about the vast career opportunities within climate and sustainability sectors, encouraging them to explore pathways beyond traditional career options.
3. Sustainable Community Development: To empower young minds with the knowledge to envision and contribute to sustainable development of their communities through their career paths and professional development.
