CleanUp Earth respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and how you can delete your account and data.
1. Information We Collect
When you use CleanUp Earth, we may collect the following information:
Account Information:
- email address;
- nickname or display name;
- user ID created by our authentication system.
Cleanup Report Information:
- report title;
- report description;
- photos uploaded by you;
- location of the trash report;
- report status, such as open or cleaned;
- date and time when the report was created.
Profile and Rewards Information:
- points;
- badges;
- number of reports created;
- number of cleanups completed;
- user level.
Reported Content:
If you report inappropriate or incorrect content in the app, we may store the report reason and related report ID.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- create and manage your account;
- show trash reports on the map;
- allow users to mark places as cleaned;
- display your profile, points, badges, and progress;
- improve safety and prevent abuse;
- allow you to delete your account and data.
3. Photos and Location Data
CleanUp Earth is based on user-created cleanup reports.
When you upload photos or create a trash report, other users may be able to see the report, photos, approximate location, and cleanup status inside the app.
Please do not upload photos that contain private information, faces, license plates, addresses, or anything you do not want other users to see.
4. Sharing of Information
We do not sell your personal information.
We may share limited data with service providers that help us run the app, such as backend, authentication, database, and storage providers.
We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the safety, rights, or security of users or the app.
5. Third-Party Services
CleanUp Earth uses third-party services to operate the app, including backend, database, authentication, and file storage services.
These services may process your information only as needed to provide app functionality.
6. Data Retention
We keep your account data and cleanup reports while your account is active.
When you delete your account, we delete your account, profile, rewards, reports, photos, and related user data from our system, unless we are legally required to keep certain information.
7. Account and Data Deletion
You can delete your account directly inside the app:
Profile → Delete Account → Delete My Account
Deleting your account permanently removes your account, profile, rewards, reports, photos, and related user data.

8. Children’s Privacy
CleanUp Earth is not intended for children under 13 years old.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected such information, we will delete it.
9. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information.
However, no system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security of your data.
10. Your Choices
You can:
- create or delete your account;
- delete your data through the in-app Delete Account option;
- contact us with privacy questions;
- choose not to upload photos or create reports.
11. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.
If we make changes, we will update the Effective Date at the top of this page.
