Music

Clayton and Ethel Brough enjoy listening to a variety of uplifting and wholesome music performed by various artists and orchestras. They particularly enjoy listening to music provided by The Tabernacle Choir at Temple Square and The Orchestra at Temple Square.

Clayton was encouraged and supported by his parents to take piano lessons at an early age.  As a teenager he played the organ during priesthood meetings for the Westchester Ward of the Inglewood Stake of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Los Angeles County, California.

On October 15, 1968, Clayton composed the music and selected the text (from Psalms) for a hymn that he later entitled Truly God Is Good To Israel.  In 2015, Clayton and David W. Stokes (1959-2017) published this hymn--as shown below.  This hymn is available HERE as a printable PDF file and can be freely copied, distributed and performed as desired.
