One button. That's the entire control scheme for Space Waves, and somehow it's harder to master than games with a full controller's worth of inputs. You're steering an arrow through neon-lit tunnels, tapping to rise and letting go to fall, weaving past spinning gears, spikes, and narrow gaps that shift with every level.
What makes it click is the rhythm that builds after a few runs. The 33 levels are marked with difficulty faces from green to red, so you can start slow and work up instead of getting dropped into demon-tier chaos immediately. Hold the tap too long and you slam straight into the ceiling. Tap too little and you drop into a spike. Somewhere between those two extremes is the rhythm that actually gets you through.
Controls: Spacebar or click to rise, release to fall.
Most people underestimate this one on the first run and end up eating their words by the fifth. Play Space Waves at 6x classroom and see if you can clear the yellow-tier levels before deciding it's actually simple.
