In celebration of World Landscape Architecture Month (WLAM) 2025, the L.A. Student Forum brought together aspiring landscape architects from across the globe in a virtual gathering filled with insight, cultural exchange, and collaboration.
Held last April 27, 2025, the event was hosted via Microsoft Teams and featured student representative from Bulacan State University - College of Architecture and Fine Arts (CLAS-BSU) and ITU PEMK of Turkey. With the theme “Sharing Global Perspectives in Landscape Architecture Through Students' Lenses,” the forum became a platform for students to present their ideas, academic experiences, and unique approaches to landscape architecture shaped by their local and cultural contexts.
BSU students actively participated by delivering presentations that highlighted Filipino landscape heritage, sustainable design practices, and the academic journey of LA students in the Philippines. Through these presentations, BSU shared valuable perspectives on how landscape architecture responds to local challenges such as climate resilience, community-centered design, and environmental stewardship.
The event concluded with a dynamic open forum, where students from both universities engaged in a meaningful Q&A session—exchanging ideas, asking questions, and fostering professional connections that transcended borders.
This collaborative event not only celebrated WLAM 2025 but also strengthened international ties and encouraged global dialogue among future landscape architects. BSU takes pride in being part of this enriching experience and continues to advocate for inclusive and globally connected landscape education.
