2024 is the year I've decided to push myself and do things that I always said I couldn't do.
Why?
Because I genuinely didn't have a good enough reason as to why I couldn't do them, so why not?
So I spoke to my coach (yes, even PT's have coaches) and we began setting out a roadmap for 2024. Now there are two main events - a photoshoot at the end of April and a 10km race at the beginning of September. Both very different events which require different methods of preparation. But I had my eyes set on both so here we go.
Where does this blog fall into all of that? Well, I've decided I'm going to document each week of my journey throughout 2024, showing the highs (and the lows); things I've learnt; mistakes I've made; and everything in between. I'm doing this for me, so I have something to look back on, and I'm doing this for you, the reader. I'd like you to come along on this journey with me and hopefully it'll inspire you to push yourself to work towards something you've always said you couldn't do.
Now for the boring logistical part - I will post every Thursday looking back at the previous week and then a summary post on a Sunday at the end of every block. As I get closer to the events, there may be some extra posts dedicated to specific things, but I'm not sure how those are going to work yet. If you want to see behind the scenes of these posts (and my day to day life), check out my Instagram: @clairephippen_fitness where I try to post daily stories and content which you might find useful.
So there it is, that's the plan and the first post done. Come back next week to see how week one has gone!
