Welcome Cross Keys students!! We look forward to seeing you in school each day. Please know that your education is very important to us. Students who attend school daily experience the following benefits:
social well being
academic achievement
increased job opportunities
access to college and other higher education
success in life!
IMPORTANT: Please review the Student Code of Conduct. https://www.dekalbschoolsga.org/documents/dese/2024-2025/code-of-conduct.pdf
Guardians are to email excuse notes and medical notes to the Attendance Office within 3 days of the absence. In person excuse notes are accepted at the Attendance Office in the 300 hallway.
The excuse note should include: student's name, student ID number, and the date(s) of absence(s). A parent signature must be on the note.
When a student misses class without submitting the appropriate documentation, it is recorded as an "Unexcused" Absence.
If a student is expected to be absent for more than three consecutive school days, the guardian must notify the school in person or via email. Depending on the nature of the absence, the school may request a parent conference to ensure appropriate support and documentation are provided.
Students, please know that we are here to support you. You can reach out to your teachers, counselors, and school administrators with any concerns you might have. Come see us in person, or send an email if you are more comfortable.
(Use this guide to the left to help form your message to us.)
