Korean food is one of my frequent meals because it requires fewer ingredients and is simple to prepare.
Kimchi (김치)
Kimchi is one of the most popular Korean side dishes. It's not wrong to say that it's in every meal of Korean food. Kimchi is a kind of pickled vegetable dish. Usually, it is popular to use fermented Chinese cabbage, cayenne pepper, spring onion, fish sauce, sugar, and garlic. The taste is spicy and sour, with a unique aroma. In principle, the taste of kimchi depends on the taste. With the current fermented food, the taste is adapted to suit preferences or adapted to each food.
Korean chili paste (Gochujang/ 고추장)
Is there anything else that needs to be said? Gochujang is the most well-known Korean item. It's great in soups, stews, main dishes, and more. Fine Korean chilli powder, glutinous rice, fermented soybeans, and salt are used to make it. It's hot, but there's also a slight sweetness note.
There are many different types of gochujang available nowadays (for example, extra spicy gochujang, less spicy gochujang, and beef seasoned gochujang), but my recipes use the regular variety.
