Welcome to CivilMate. This Privacy Policy explains how CivilMate ("we", "our", or "the Add-on") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our Google Workspace Add-on. We are committed to ensuring that your privacy and data are protected.

2. Information We Collect and Process

To provide its core functionality, CivilMate integrates directly with your Google Workspace environment. We request access to the following Google OAuth scopes:

•  View and manage your spreadsheets in Google Drive (.../auth/spreadsheets): CivilMate requires this permission to read existing cell data, write new estimating formulas, and format the active spreadsheet to generate your Resource Abstracts and Details of Quantity reports.

•  Display and run third-party web content in prompts and sidebars inside Google applications (.../auth/script.container.ui):This permission is required to display the custom CivilMate sidebars, dialog boxes, and menus within your Google Sheets interface.

•  User Identity: The Add-on may access your Google account email address solely to verify administrative access or ensure secure connections to the master database.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the data accessed by CivilMate strictly to provide the estimating, gap analysis, and reporting features of the Add-on. We do not use your spreadsheet data, email address, or personal information for advertising, marketing, or user profiling.

4. Data Sharing and Disclosure

Your privacy is our priority. We do not sell, trade, rent, or transfer your personal information or spreadsheet data to any third-party companies. Data processing occurs entirely within the secure Google Workspace ecosystem via Google Apps Script.

5. Data Storage and Security

CivilMate does not extract, export, or store your personal spreadsheet estimates on external, non-Google servers. All database syncing and rate fetching occur between your active Google Sheet and the centralized Google Apps Script backend, protected by Google's native enterprise security infrastructure.

6. Compliance with Google API Services User Data Policy

CivilMate's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will strictly adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

7. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or Google's requirements. We encourage you to review this page periodically. Continued use of CivilMate after any changes indicates your acceptance of the updated policy.
