CITY OF SAN FERNANDO -- Mayor Edwin Santiago and Governor Lilia Pineda led the inauguration and blessing of the new City of San Fernando Police Station located at the Regional Government Center in Maimpis village here.
Pineda and Santiago were joined by Vice Mayor Jimmy Lazatin, Councilors BJ Lagman and Ruperto Dumlao, Deputy Regional Director for Administration Police Chief Superintendent Elmer Bantog, Acting Provincial Director Police Senior Superintendent Joel Consulta, City Chief of Police Police Superintendent Jean Fajardo, and National Police Commission Regional Director Rodolfo Santos, Jr.
Fajardo said the construction of the two-storey building, with an estimated cost of P13 million, is a joint project of the City Government, Pampanga Provincial Capitol and Philippine National Police.
“The groundbreaking for this project took place in February 2016 and finally, our dream has been materialized, we now have a place we can call our own. Makakaasa po kayo na susuklian namin ito ng better police service,” Fajardo added.
Santiago expressed his gratitude to the Provincial Government for taking part in the realization of the new police station.
“This is a manifestation of two of President Duterte’s advocacies. One is the ‘Build, Build, Build’ program and the other is to reform the initiatives on peace and order,” Santiago added.
The city mayor said that with the new building, the police force in the city will be able to carry out their mandated tasks more efficiently.
Enforce the law, prevent and control crimes, maintain peace and order, and ensure public safety and internal security with the active support of the community.
Imploring the aid of the Almighty, by 2030, We shall be a highly capable, effective and credible police service working in partnership with a responsive community towards the attainment of a safer place to live, work and do business.
