THE NAME AND THE WEBSITE

CIRCLES OF LIGHT is the name Elayne M. Neal created years ago to describe the elegant beaded necklaces she creates that are mostly reflective. This website highlights only some of her many creations by Types or Colors. It also highlights some of her more recent designs in beaded wired bracelets meant to wrap and last.

NECKLACES

Elayne loves being creative with beads and will design around a particular bead or pendant. She uses a lot of quality glass beads, including crystal, and will incoporate metal spacers such as silver, gold or copper to match colors someone might wear with watches, bracelets, rings, or earrings. If Elayne has sufficient inventory, she will make matching earrings.

HOW IT BEGAN

Elayne began beading as a hobby when necklaces being sold in stores were expensive but cheaply put together, or lacked colorful and interesting designs. Eventually she sold them as fundraisers for various charities and since has donated many to domestic violence groups and non-profit organizations and has given a lot as gifts and raffles.

ONE-OF-A-KIND AND TIME TO MAKE

Everything Elayne does is one-of-a-kind. Elayne may use the same beads but in different configurations. Because she designs each necklace individually, it takes her time to lay out and wire the design (at least one hour per strand), and if something doesn't look right, she will remake it. If there are matching earrings, it takes another 10-15 minutes. Photography, editing, naming, pricing and tagging take another 15 minutes. And, Elayne uses white, silver, gold or red gift boxes to store, sell and gift the necklaces. Each gift box has Elayne's card as well as special cotton batten she purchases and cuts to size so the jewerly sits better and the earrings have less chance of catching when a person lifts a necklace to view it. Even with all this time and cost, when Elayne sells her creations, they are at very affordable prices.

Many people love Elayne's creations, including beaders, who study how she puts beads and colors together. Because people get a lot of compliments when wearing Circles of Light necklaces, Elayne has accumulated many repeat female as well as male customers.

AVAILABILITY

The necklaces shown are some of the hundreds Elayne has created over the years and may no longer be available or may still be in inventory. They are presented as an indication of the various colorful beaded designs Elayne creates. BRACELETS

In 2017 Elayne began creating memory wire bracelets to use up smaller beads, charms and gift boxes. See that page to view some of her many creations that are popular with both adults and children. She also created angel earrings on cards describing the angels and their colors (no longer available) and a few wine glass charms (given as gifts).

DOWNSIZING & FUTURE BEADING

Since Elayne has been downsizing bead inventory, many of her beads are now in necklace or memory wire bracelet inventory. Beads and supplies Elayne no longer uses are sold to Facebook Marketplace or Craig's List customers who can pick up the inventory. Elayne may continue to bead when her necklaces, bracelets and beading supplies are sold since it satisfies one of her creative instincts.

INFUSION OF HARMONY

While beading, Elayne tries to infuse a lot of light and love, health and harmony into each creation so that people not only get compliments on colors and design, but feel better when they are wearing a COL item.
