In this activity, students explore how to compute limits using the limit laws and some algebra tricks.
The Math Puzzle activity was made with Storyline. Students first see a title slide/screen with the title and a “Next” navigation button. After selecting the “Next” button students transition to a slide/scree with the directions and introduction before the activity begins. On the slide/screen with the directions and introduction, the students see a navigation button labeled “Start” once selected the activity begins and the student transition to the next slide/screen. On the screen/slide 1 the students see the specific formula example and a next button labeled “Next”. In the following screens/slides students see steps to complete the formula. The steps provide examples that are missing key variables and or parts that the student must provide to complete the formula. The missing variables and or parts are fill in the blank. Each attempted answer provides specific follow up as to why the selection is correct or incorrect. When the student completes the activity, they receive overall feedback explaining what the sections were missing.
