In this activity, students review the writing example and identify the valid comments that help improve the assignment. Students identify the valid comments by selecting one from the options for each sentence. Students receive follow up information for each selection. More than 1 incorrectly selected comment will require students to start the activity over.
Students see an example of essay/writing example representative of the required writing assessments for the course. The example has areas highlighted with comments formatted similar to a word document. Students are to identify which comments are beneficial and which are not for the specific writing example. The objective is to present students with a valid writing example and structured feedback to help improve their own course writing. The activity starts by presenting the Directions and the Introduction before allowing the student to proceed to the main screen via a navigation button labeled “Begin.” After the student attempts to identify the correct comment for each sentence, the activity will end.
