CIOs highlight 'Build, Build, Build' Program in March 21 Conference at Novotel

21 Mar (Quezon City) -- Members of the Chief Information Officer Forum (CIOF) today gathered for the 2018 First Conference and General Membership Meeting to discuss the role of information and communications technology (ICT) in support of the government's 'Build, Build, Build' program.

The 'Build, Build, Build' Program is the Duterte Administration's massive P8.4-trillion infrastructure program for 2017-2022, with the goal of establishing a "golden age" for Philippine infrastructure.

Dear colleagues:

The Duterte Administration has embarked on the boldest, most ambitious P8.4-trillion massive infrastructure program over six years (2017-2022) towards the attainment of "Ambisyon Natin 2040."

For the first time in history, the major infrastructure agencies of the national government -- NEDA, DPWH, DOTr, BCDA -- are talking and coordinating to build more railways, urban mass transport, airports, and seaports; more bridges and roads; and new and better cities.

Aware of the pivotal role of ICT in the phenomenal growth of South Korea, Singapore and other Asian neighbors, we as CIOs cannot just stand by the sidelines and be content to watch things unfold.

And so we gather together on March 21 to hear the story direct from the infrastructure champions and thus better understand the "Build, Build, Build" Program. With our industry partners, we will explore ways to leverage ICT to support the push for a "golden age" for Philippine infrastructure.

See you!
