The Organization

The Chief Information Officers Forum, Inc. (CIOF) is a non-stock, non-profit organization incorporated by CIOs of different government departments and agencies with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).


  • To serve as an advocacy and consensus-building group to address key IT policy issues and concerns;
  • To provide the venue for technology solutions and information exchange, and resource and experience sharing among members; and
  • To promote wider and more active government-private sector linkages and networking.


We, the chief information officers or CIOs in government, joined together by a common goal, commit ourselves towards wider advocacy and more active promotion of the strategic uses of IT to be effective and nurturing partners in governance.


In pursuit of this, we will continually endeavor to lead, steer, influence and facilitate the immediate resolution of key IT policy issues and concerns to mainstream IT in our work both as IT practitioners and development managers.


We promote experience sharing, integration and mobilizaton of IT policy advocacy and action groups.

We endeavor to establish: (1) an IT-enlightened bureaucracy; (2) a cohesive, dynamic and proactive IT forum; (3) a seamless interconnectivity among government offices and the private sector; (4) government-private-academe linkages and cooperation; and (5) use of IT in mission-critical government operations.
