What are committees?
Committees are branches of Cinema Workshop that focus on the discussion of specific aspects of production. They are each led by a pair of co-runners, and their meetings take place separately from CW's general meetings.
How do I join a committee?
All you have to do is show up to a meeting!
Writers' Room focuses on the screenwriting aspect of pre-production. Attendees submit their screenplays to be table read by the room, who then give feedback on the piece. Throughout the year, the co-runners host a number of workshops on storytelling and script formatting.
Meetings are in Bozorth 118, at 7 p.m. on Thursdays. They end just before the CW general meeting down the hall.
Post Office focuses on the editing aspect of post-production. Similar to Writers' Room, attendees can bring in their videos to get feedback on their editing techniques. Every other week, the co-runners host workshops on the many different parts of the editing process.
Meetings are in Bozorth 132, at 9:30-10:30 p.m. on Wednesdays, and 2-3 p.m. on Fridays.
