As a Company Member of Cinderella, I agree that:
1. I understand that I may not know the cast results until mid April, and if I am cast I must be at the first Company Meeting on May 15, at 5:00.
2. I understand and agree that if cast, I am committed to the entire rehearsal and production time. This means that if I have a predetermined conflict, such as a weekend wedding, that most likely I will be able to attend the wedding. However, I understand that I must move weekly lessons (including voice, piano, guitar, dance, acting, etc.), classes (including dance, acting, test prep courses, etc.), or other commitments (including work, church, meetings, school functions, etc.) that conflict with rehearsals. This means that even though I put those conflicts on my audition form, I am fully aware that I will not be able to participate in those activities when I am scheduled for rehearsal. I understand I will move those activities to a later time or to the weekend during the rehearsal and production process and that life will return to normal after the show has concluded. I understand that if I have questions, I will speak to the Director.
3. I will be at ALL rehearsals when I am scheduled. A detailed rehearsal schedule will be provided at the first Company Meeting on May 15, at 5:00. I understand that although there will be a detailed rehearsal schedule, that it is tentative and subject to change due to the nature of the rehearsal process.
4. I have read and understand the Rehearsal Schedule. Each week is different, and I understand it is best to clear my schedule.
5. I will be ON TIME for all rehearsals.
6. I understand that due to the short rehearsal process and limited rehearsals, I must commit to being in attendance for all rehearsals. If you have a conflict that arises after you begin the rehearsal process, your priority and commitment is to the production. IF I MUST MISS A REHEARSAL OR WILL BE LATE FOR AN UNFORESEEN REASON, I understand that I am required to email both the Stage Manager, Ms. Nesbit bentleigh.nesbit@fwisd.org and Mr. Morris at c.nicholas.morris@fwisd.org REGARDLESS OF THE REASON.
7. If I am sick, I will contact and email both the Stage Manager, Ms. Nesbit bentleigh.nesbit@fwisd.org and the Director, Mr. Morris at c.nicholas.morris@fwisd.org
8. If cast, I will receive a script, score, and/or libretto. I understand this is a very important part of the production process. This is the property of Concord Theatricals, and does not belong to FWISD. I understand if I receive a musical score, I must only write in pencil. I understand I must return the score to the Stage Manager before the final performance. I understand that if I lose it or do not return it, I will be charged $35.00.
9. I understand that all lines and lyrics must be memorized by Monday, June 3, 2024.
10. I will always come to rehearsal with a pencil, a notebook, and my script. Notes are taken in a notebook, not on an electronic device.
11. I will wear the appropriate rehearsal shoes, clothing, and will wear my hair off of my face in all rehearsals.
12. I understand that I need to clean up after myself. If I leave any of my belongings or trash, I must meet with the Stage Manager.
13. I understand that there are consequences for any inappropriate behavior during rehearsal, which includes, but is not limited to: chronically talking during rehearsals, not being where I am supposed to be, touching or taking other people's property (including props and costumes), and leaving rehearsal early. I will follow the FWISD Code of Conduct. Consequences are dealt with on a an individual basis and I cheerfully accept the appropriate discipline since I chose to disregard the rules.
14. During the school year, I am aware there is not a dinner break during evening rehearsals. I understand that I should plan to eat a snack/meal before rehearsals.
15. During the summer 9 - 5 rehearsals there is a lunch break and I must bring my lunch to rehearsal. I understand for my safety, I am not allowed to leave campus during the lunch break.
16. I understand that we follow Actor's Equity Association (AEA) rehearsal rules and are given either: (1) A 10-minute break every 80 minutes OR (2) A 5-minute break every 55 minutes. I agree to provide myself with healthy, nutritious snacks that will help sustain my energy and stamina. I understand for my safety, I am NOT ALLOWED to leave campus during rehearsal.
17. I understand that sometimes in this industry, live performing arts, that everything does not go as planned. Therefore, I will remain flexible and have a positive attitude and outlook when schedules change, rehearsals end early or run late. I understand the production team is doing their best to value and honor my time and will do their best to follow the rehearsal schedule. I will support and trust the leadership and do my best to continue to be a young professional.
18. I understand that I am expected to participate in Strike after the final Sunday performance and will not be released by the directors of the show until we have collectively completed all assigned tasks. Everyone is required to be a part of Strike. I will not ask to be dismissed early or excused. I understand my parent may be asked to help with Strike. We will conclude Strike together as a Company.
IF I FAIL TO LIVE UP TO THE TENETS OF THIS CONTRACT, I AM AWARE THAT I WILL BE DISMISSED FROM THE COMPANY OF CINDERELLA.
