Students of IBPYP Grade 1 - 5 had the opportunity to display their talents and discover a new side of them when they enthusiastically participated in ‘Virtual Declamation Competition’. This competition served as a platform to promote an exchange of ideas among the students.
The talented participants spellbound the audience with their extra ordinary oratory skills. The students opined on different topics which was judged and evaluated on well-defined criteria within a stipulated time limit. The students’ perspectives regarding the topics were acknowledged and applauded by the judges. Such activities enhance students’ critical thinking and improve their communication skills thus making them multifaceted and versatile.

On 26th January, the historical day to remember our National Heroes and Freedom Fighters who suffered to give us a Republic Nation, Kindergarten of IB PYP were dressed up as freedom fighters. They carried National Flags, spreading the message of love and peace and celebrated this day with patriotic zest and fervour.

The students of PYP KG1 celebrated Christmas with the spirit of love. They dressed like Santa Claus, decorated the Christmas tree and baked the cake and cookies spreading the message of peace and happiness.

With the aspiration to inspire the youth to learn the Sign language, the guest lecture by Ms. Meenakshi (Sen department) continued her effort in promoting the usage of Sign Language. In this she focused on the use of visual –manual modality to convey meaning and expressed importance of its usage in the routine life. She further stated that usage of sign language is the play with words with your hands. She taught the students of PYP grade 1 to say hello, sorry, how are you, thank you by using sign language. She connected the students with their ongoing theme in which they are learning about different emotions and feelings . Students participated with enthusiasm.
