On the 20th of January 2024, I, along with a group of passionate scientists, witnessed the birth of the "Taiwan Aphid Genomics Consortium (TAGC)" at the "8th Transdisciplinary Workshops on Chemistry, Life Sciences, and Physics" hosted by the National Science Council in Taiwan. I officially announced the establishment of TAGC, realizing a long-term wish as well as a scientific plan.

Through TAGC, my aim is to gather local scientists who are working on aphid research and hold regular meetings to exchange ideas and share resources. TAGC will facilitate communication among aphid research teams and promote interdisciplinary collaboration. Moreover, we anticipate constant interaction with the "International Aphid Genomics Consortium (IAGC)", thereby building international connections to elevate aphid studies at the genomic level.

在 2024 年 1 月 20 日，我和一群充滿熱情的科學家於國家科學委員會所主辦的「第 8 次化學、生科與物理跨領域交流會」，見證了「台灣蚜蟲基因組聯盟（TAGC）」的誕生。我正式宣布了 TAGC 的建立，實現了一個長期的願望和科學計畫。

通過 TAGC，我希望能聚集台灣從事蚜蟲研究的科學家，定期交流研究想法、分享研究成果，以及彼此分享研究資源。TAGC 將促進蚜蟲研究團隊之間的交流，並推動跨學科合作。此外，我們期待與「國際蚜蟲基因體聯盟（IAGC）」保持互動，從而建立國際合作關係，在基因體的層次來提升蚜蟲的研究。
