We, the Laboratory of Insect Molecular Biology, formerly known as the Laboratory for Genomics and Development, situated within the Department of Entomology at National Taiwan University (NTU), are actively engaged in research on genes associated with germline specification, axis determination, and organ formation in both parthenogenetic and viviparous aphids. Furthermore, we have successfully established the pea aphid (Acyrthosiphon pisum) and the green peach aphid (Myzus persicae) as emerging model organisms for developmental studies.
