ACEC was organized in 1982 to conserve the natural, social and cultural environment in the Chubu Areas, Japan. The majority of its 300 members are researchers and scientists from a wide range of disciplines. Some of the members are environmental lawyers and leaders of environmental groups.
In order to attain our goals, we watch development projects in the areas, conduct studies on their impacts on the environment, and hold regular manthly meetings to disseminate information to the public.
Our association is interested in global environmental issues since they in some way or another give an impact on our life and since indibidual efforts may contribute to save the earth.
