Philosophy on Classroom Management
I believe that classroom routines, expectations, and rules should be established the first day of school, and should be respected and used consistently throughout the school year. Students should also be encouraged to help create the rules of the classroom. This will help them take ownership and responsibility of their actions. As an educator, I will remind the students that their time and effort in creating the classroom rules should be appreciated, and respected by all members of the classroom.
Philosophy of Teaching
My Philosophy of teaching is that all students have the right to obtain a fair education. I believe that it is important to recognize that all students are unique and have specific learning styles. Therefore, I will take the time to present curriculum that is relevant to the students’ lives. I am also a true believer that the classroom should be a safe place for all students to grow academically, mentally, and socially. As a teacher, I will embrace, motivate, and encourage all students to reach their full learning potential.
Feedback from my Mentor Teacher:
Semester 2
Christine is an asset to my classroom and is an excellent teacher. She is very enthusiastic about her lessons and daily activities. She is hardworking, self-motivated, and responsible. The students respect her teaching and ask for her help as often as they ask me for help. I am glad to have her in my class and look forward to seeing her in her own classroom soon.
Semester 3
Christine is doing very well. She has established herself as a teacher in the class and the students value her instruction. She uses a variety on strategies to make her lessons relevant to the students. She has great ideas to make my lesson more engaging and fun for the kids. I believe she is a great teacher!
