Texas Comprehensive Model

The Texas Model describes the allotted time that should be spent in each component of the delivery system. The following is a graph of how much time should be spent doing each component after a weekly audit was performed during my practicum after COVID. The issue seems to be that counselors are doing far more individual planning than guidance curriculum. The reason for this can fall into a few factors. 1) Students in a Title 1 school often have more demands and require more attention and support and therefore requires more individual planning especially in the area of social and emotional learning, 2) COVID has increased the need for individual planning as students lost education and social learning being at home and 3) the push for the importance of guidance curriculum may need more support from stakeholders.
